Job Description:

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITES

Coordinate Staff Spiritual Formation Activities

  • Help develop and coordinate the chapel program activities
  • Facilitate the equipping of small group leaders for effective staff formation sessions through small groups.
  • Facilitate availability of relevant Spiritual formation materials being careful to include areas of peace, protection, and opportunity that will influence Faith and Development 
  • Brainstorm, plan, and roll out relevant topics and areas of focus on spiritual focus that should be engaged to staff
  • Review and analyze the relevance and value add of the materials provided to staff and how they have been utilized
  • Attend Chapel Committee meetings
  • Help in planning Day of Prayer for East Africa Office
  • Be the point person on prayer updates of the Region

Program Integration 

  • Help in organizing staff training for Faith and Development models such as Empowered World View.

Administrative Responsibilities 

  • Administrative support to Regional Faith and Development Senior Technical Advisor and SPDQ Director.   
  •  Coordinate and provide logistical support for F&D Regional Forums and meetings 
  • Provide support for travel bookings and logistics
  • Coordinate and consolidate team inputs for monthly and quarterly reports

Thought Leadership & Publications in area of expertise

  • Populate, provide and develop bible study guides to be used in small groups throughout the FY

KNOWLEDGE/QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE

Required Professional Experience

  • Must be a committed Christian, able to stand above denominational diversities. Spiritual maturity; clear articulation of personal faith in Christ about how their faith informs their life and work.  Possesses biblical acuity
  • Demonstrates well-developed interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as negotiation skills
  • Experience in developing devotional materials.
  • Must adhere to set security standards
  • Excellent English language skills; written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated writing skills and working with excel spreadsheets.
  • Innovative and the ability to think outside of the box.
  • Team player; the ability to work as part of a diverse team to achieve the overall goal

Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification

  • Educational level required   Bachelor Degree, preferably in Bible and Theology, Christian Education or Christian Ministry

Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications

Knowledge of denominational aspects and other faith core beliefs.
