To strengthen our ICT team, we are seeking to fill the following position:
Position: ICT Intern
Reporting to: System Administrator
Purpose of the Role
To glorify God by providing excellent, efficient, and compassionate ICT support that ensures smooth operations, minimizes service delivery gaps, improves efficiency, and enhances the timeliness of customer requests.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist users with hardware and software issues
- Troubleshoot basic computer, printer, and network issues
- Support enforcement of ICT security protocols, including password policies and MFA setup
- Assist in managing user accounts and permissions (Active Directory and email systems)
- Attend internal training sessions and Continuous Medical Education (CMEs)
- Maintain logs of IT support requests and document ICT processes or user guides
- Assist in inventory management of ICT assets (laptops, monitors, cables, etc.)
- Troubleshoot SmartCare, Booking, Taifa Care, and other hospital systems for end users
Qualifications, Experience, and Competencies
- Diploma or Degree in Information and Communication Technology (ICT)
- Basic knowledge of:
- Windows or Linux Operating Systems
- Networking (LAN/WAN, IP addressing, routers, and switches)
- Microsoft Office 365 and/or Google Workspace
- Hardware troubleshooting and repair
- Understanding of software development and cybersecurity fundamentals is an added advantage
