IT and Data Analyst

The National Council of Churches of Kenya (NCCK), an umbrella organization for Protestant Churches and Christian Organizations registered in Kenya, is seeking to recruit a highly skilled, experienced, and results-oriented professional. Job Purpose: The IT & Data Analyst will facilitate effective use of technology by maintaining reliable data systems, ensuring smooth operation of the IT infrastructure, providing technical support to users, and troubleshooting system issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and enhance the performance of data systems and IT infrastructure to ensure stability and efficiency
  • Carry out regular updates, system backups, and patch installations to maintain security and functionality
  • Deliver prompt technical support to end-users, resolving hardware and software issues effectively
  • Gather, refine, and interpret data to assist in strategic decision-making
  • Design and maintain visual reports and dashboards to communicate key insights
  • Support the rollout of new software applications and provide user training to facilitate adoption
  • Identify and suggest improvements to optimize system usability and operational effectiveness
  • Monitor and implement IT security measures to safeguard program data and systems from unauthorized access or breaches
  • Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and organizational IT policies
  • Create user-friendly documentation, manuals, and guides for program staff on IT-related procedures and best practices

Key Qualifications / Skills / Competencies / Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in IT support or systems administration
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
  • Proficiency in data and IT tools such as Excel, SQL, Power BI, and enterprise systems
  • Working knowledge of ERP platforms, particularly Microsoft 365 Dynamics
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective user support and collaboration
