Switch Media School is seeking a dynamic and experienced Lecturer in Specialized Communication – Corporate, Crisis, & Public Affairs. The role requires an expert who can equip learners with the strategic communication, crisis management, and stakeholder engagement skills needed in today’s digital-first media environment.
Duties & Responsibilities

  • Teach the principles and practices of corporate communication, crisis management, and public affairs.
  • Guide learners in developing corporate communication strategies, crisis communication plans, and stakeholder engagement frameworks.
  • Facilitate simulations of media handling during crises and public advocacy campaigns.
  • Train students on digital and social media’s role in corporate and crisis communication.
  • Mentor students in creating professional press releases, speeches, crisis statements, and public advocacy materials.
  • Assess learners through case studies, presentations, and real-world scenario analyses.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in Communication, Public Relations, Journalism, Political Science, or related field.
  • Proven industry or academic experience in corporate communication, crisis management, or public affairs.
  • Strong background in media relations, strategic messaging, and government/stakeholder engagement.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of AI-driven communication tools for crisis monitoring, digital PR, and sentiment analysis.
  • Experience working with government institutions, NGOs, or corporate communication departments.
  • Professional membership with PRSK, CIPR, IABC, or similar bodies.
