Basic job summary:
The jobholder is responsible for providing reliable facilities and event support by preparing venues, maintaining furniture and equipment, and ensuring clean, functional, and well-presented spaces that enable smooth University operations and activities.
Duties & Responsibilities
Venue Preparation and Event Support
The duties include but are not limited to:
- Arrange the auditorium according to specific requirements of the users.
- Set up conferences in designated venues based on user specifications.
- Set up venues for events (chairs, tents, podiums, equipment).
Facilities Maintenance and Upkeep
The duties include but are not limited to:
- Perform routine inspections and replace bulbs as required.
- Support office relocations, furniture movement, and minor installations
- Assist technicians and contractors as required.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety standards.
- Safely operate tools, ladders, and equipment.
- Report hazards, accidents, and repair need promptly.
Minimum Academic Qualifications:
- Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education
Experience:
- At least 1 year of experience in a similar role
