JOB SUMMARY
CITAM seeks to recruit a born-again Christian who is experienced and self-motivated to fill the position of a procurement assistant to establish an efficient and effective governance and administration system that facilitates quick, smooth and robust service in all CITAM operations.
The position reports to the Senior Procurement Officer.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to ensure quality, value for money, and timely delivery of goods and services for use by CITAM.
- Cost management through sourcing of goods and services in line with the approved budget.
- Receive and process purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and invoices from CITAM units and assemblies.
- Undertake regular rating and evaluation of suppliers and update CITAM Suppliers list.
- Conduct regular market surveys on prices.
- Maximization and utilization of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).
- Conduct due diligence screening on selected pre-qualified vendors to mitigate risk.
- Manage vendors professionally and provide feedback to improve their performance.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and prepare periodic reports.
- Facilitate the acquisition of assets needed by the ministry.
- Prepare an assets disposal schedule and make recommendations.
- Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Senior Procurement Officer.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be a born-again, mature Christian who conforms to the CITAM statement of faith.
- Minimum of 4 years relevant experience in a similar role.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement or Supply Chain Management.
- Member of Kenya Institute of Management (KISM)
- Working knowledge and experience in use of ERP system.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Must be a team player, firm and friendly, diligent and self-driven
