Job Description

Reporting to the QSHE Manager, you will contribute to maintaining high standards of quality in all operations and supporting continuous improvement of quality systems at Lesaffre Kenya.

Your missions will be:

  • Performing quality control tests on raw materials, packaging materials and final products
  • Ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and company standards
  • Conducting daily quality assurance inspections and report any deviations
  • Monitoring and enforcing hygiene standards across all departments
  • Assisting in managing supplier non-conformities and deviations
  • Supporting the customer satisfaction program by tracking issues and ensuring corrective action
  • Conducting internal quality audits
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of inspections, audits and corrective actions
  • Supporting the development of quality procedures to strengthen quality systems
  • Assisting in product release for dispatch
  • Participating in pest control activities to maintain a safe production environment
  • Undertaking specific assignments related to Health, Safety and Environment
  • Preparing regular performance and progress reports

Qualifications

Holder of a Bachelor’s degree in food science, industrial chemistry or a related field, you have ideally a first experience of 1 year in quality in the food manufacturing industry.

Technical skills:

  • Ability to identify alternative courses of action when necessary
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, including preparation, handling, and storage of food
  • Basic knowledge of quality assurance principles
  • Familiarity with GMP, HACCP, ISO standards and workplace safety practices

  • Time management and organizational abilities

  • Teamwork and collaboration
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
