Shift Operator Position(2)

The Shift Technicians will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and safe operation of technical systems during assigned shifts.

We can offer you the following tasks:

  • Prepare and monitor the generating units as per relevant SOPs and co-ordinate with Shift Supervisor and other Shift members during Plant operation.
  • Monitor all electrical/mechanical parameters related with generating units and auxiliaries as per relevant SOPs and maintain the Log Sheets.
  • Inform Shift Supervisor regarding abnormalities and take corrective measures and assist him in troubleshooting.
  • Perform both electrical & mechanical isolations of the generating units, Grid and auxiliaries for maintenance work and check the availability of the units after maintenance.
  • Perform routine minor electrical/mechanical maintenance & servicing activities during shift.
  • Assist in Electrical / Mechanical Maintenance during Major Overhaul, if required.
  • Co-ordinate and provide help to other shift members in abnormal conditions.
  • Record all shift activities in Logbook.
  • Implement the company policies related with safety procedures, housekeeping, and energy conservation.
  • Implement the relevant administrative policies.
  • Any additional duties as assigned by management.

You can help us with these qualifications:

  • Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering with 2-3 years of related work experience
  • Previous work experience in a Power Plant
  • High-level communication skills in English, verbal & written
  • Must have knowledge to operate power plant control room in all respect
  • Should be able to Communicate Effectively
  • Should have skills of Daily Task Management
  • Worked with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), preferably AMOS or similar
  • Work experience in a power plant using reciprocating heavy-duty engine technologies.
