Job Description
Responsibilities:
Marketing Planning & Coordination:
- Support the annual planning cycle for East Africa by gathering market insights, client priorities, and performance learnings to inform planning discussions.
- Coordinate inputs across country teams, ensuring marketing plans are aligned with client needs and Visa’s regional priorities.
- Maintain planning documents, calendars, and progress trackers to support smooth execution throughout the year.
- Assist in preparing planning presentations and materials for leadership reviews.
Client Engagement & Support:
- Build strong, trusted working relationships with client marketing and product teams.
- Participate in client discussions to understand their marketing needs, challenges, and growth opportunities.
- Provide clients with strategic and executional support across marketing initiatives, helping them adopt Visa best‑practice frameworks and digital marketing capabilities.
- Coordinate client deliverables, feedback cycles, and project communications.
Marketing Program Execution:
- Lead day‑to‑day execution of client marketing programs, including campaign development, creative reviews, asset coordination, and media planning support.
- Support digital campaign setup and optimization alongside agency partners and Visa’s internal digital marketing teams.
- Develop client‑facing materials such as briefs, proposals, reports, and post‑campaign performance reviews.
- Ensure all work is delivered on schedule, within scope, and to Visa quality standards.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with Country Managers, Visa Consulting & Analytics team and Product to deliver integrated marketing initiatives.
- Partner with regional and global teams to leverage relevant toolkits, insights, and proven solutions.
- Support the rollout of marketing governance tools such as Visa Project Central and ensure adoption of standardized processes across markets.
Reporting & Insights:
- Track and report on program KPIs, client delivery milestones, and marketing ROI.
- Monitor market and consumer trends to inform ongoing program improvements and new engagement opportunities.
- Prepare regular internal updates and client reports highlighting performance, learnings, and recommendations.
Operational Efficiency:
- Manage Cluster budgets, vendor coordination, timelines, and documentation to support operational excellence.
- Maintain templates, checklists, and workflows to increase efficiency in marketing delivery across East Africa.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.
Qualifications
- 6–8+ years of marketing experience (5+ with an advanced degree).
- Strong hands on digital marketing experience with major platforms (Meta, Google).
- Experience managing multi market or multi client projects is beneficial.
- Strong client facing capabilities and ability to support engagements with senior stakeholders.
- Excellent project management, organizational, and communication skills.
