The Technical Field Facilitator Health will support the implementation of gender- and ageresponsive health services under the STRONGER project. This role will be responsible for strengthening the capacity of health care workers, supporting the delivery of inclusive and quality SRHR and GBV services, and ensuring outreach and clinical interventions are aligned with project goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Health Systems Strengthening and Capacity Building
  • Work with County Health Management Teams (CHMTs), facility staff, and community health structures to identify capacity gaps.
  • Facilitate trainings and refresher sessions for Primary Health Care Workers (PHWs), Community Health Volunteers (CHVs), and Community Health Promoters (CHPs) on
  • GAR, SRHR, and survivor-centered GBV care.
  • Support integration of environmental and climate-sensitive practices into health service delivery.
  • Outreach and Clinical Service Support
  • Support mobile and facility-based SRHR/GBV outreach services, ensuring availability of clinical and psychosocial support.
  • Collaborate with facility staff and other partners to operationalize GBV Help Desks and ensure AGW can access needed services.
  • Monitor service availability and quality across community and facility-level interventions
  • Coordination and Stakeholder Engagement
  • Participate in local health stakeholder forums, including health sector working groups.
  • Work with local health facilities to implement referral pathways and community sensitization on available health services.
  • Link communities to supportive services including family planning, mental health, and youth-friendly care.
  • Monitoring, Learning, and Documentation
  • Collect and analyze health-related data, including disaggregated indicators on service uptake.
  • Document case studies, lessons learned, and innovative practices in health systems strengthening.
  • Support preparation of reports, learning materials, and presentation of outcomes to the broader STRONGER team and partners.

Desired Competencies and Minimum Qualifications

  • Education Diploma in public health, Nursing, Clinical Medicine, Community Health, or related discipline
  • Experience Minimum 1 years’ experience working in community or facility-based health programming.
  • Demonstrated experience in SRHR, GBV prevention and response, or health system capacity building.
  • Experience working in ASAL or similarly marginalized contexts will be an added adavantage
