Are you a strategic program leader passionate about advancing Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) initiatives? We are seeking an experienced WASH Advisor to lead program growth, strengthen stakeholder partnerships, and drive high-impact implementation. This role is critical in identifying expansion opportunities, ensuring donor compliance, and delivering measurable community impact while representing the WASH portfolio to both internal and external stakeholders.
ROLE SUMMARY
The WASH Advisor will provide strategic leadership in designing, implementing, and scaling WASH initiatives. The role involves managing program budgets, coordinating donor reporting, strengthening stakeholder engagement, and mentoring a multidisciplinary team to ensure successful program delivery aligned with organizational and donor objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conceptualize, design, and lead implementation of WASH initiatives in collaboration with core and support departments (Research, Monitoring & Evaluation, Social and Behavioral Change Communication, Health Services, etc.).
- Identify and manage growth opportunities within the WASH program portfolio.
- Coordinate program activities with internal and external stakeholders including donors, Ministry of Health (MoH), Technical Working Groups (TWGs), and partners.
- Develop and manage program budgets, ensuring effective burn rates and financial accountability.
- Lead development of annual marketing plans and budgeted work plans and Monitor program performance against donor deliverables and provide strategic recommendations.
- Spearhead monthly and quarterly donor reporting, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
- Develop and/or supervise production of Information Education and Communication (IEC) materials and Behavioral Change Communication facilitation tools.
- Liaise with the Monitoring & Evaluation team to ensure effective use of MIS tools and data for reporting and improved programming.
- Lead program implementation alongside service delivery and outreach teams to ensure alignment with organizational goals.

What you’ll bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Public Health, Community Development, Environmental Health, or a related field.
- Professional certification in Project Management is an added advantage.
- At least eight (8) years of experience in community development and program management.
- Minimum of three (3) years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Demonstrated experience managing donor-funded programs and stakeholder relationships
