Job Summary
Reporting to the Component V Coordinator, the role coordinates and implements communication and outreach activities under Component V. This includes managing marketing campaigns, social media, events, and media relations to promote KENAS accreditation services. The coordinator ensures all communications align with organizational branding and quality standards while monitoring and reporting on campaign performance.
Duties and Responsibilities
The duties and responsibilities of the selected candidate will entail:
- Implementing Component V workplan activities, events, social media posts, newsletters against agreed timelines and quality standards.
- Drafting, editing, and distributing communication materials that highlight KENAS accreditation services and impacts.
- Coordinating logistics for stakeholder forums, roadshows, and exhibitions, ensuring seamless setup and follow-up.
- Managing KENAS’s accreditation social media channels under the guidance of the coordinator, posting regular updates and engaging with followers.
- Maintaining an up-to-date calendar of communications activities, deadlines, and deliverables.
- Collecting and analysing data on campaign reach, website traffic, media mentions, and stakeholder feedback.
- Preparing weekly and monthly activity reports with key performance indicators and insights for Component V.
- Supporting media liaison by scheduling interviews, preparing speaking notes, and distributing press releases.
- Ensure all content and activities consistently reflect KENAS’s branding, tone, and governance standards.
Academic and Professional Qualifications
- At least Diploma or bachelor’s degree in communication, Public Relations, Media Studies, Marketing, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in a communication, public relations, or marketing or digital marketing support role.
- Experience supporting events, producing communication content, and managing social media accounts.
- Proven experience in graphic design to create impactful and engaging marketing and communication materials.
- Familiarity with development or government-led projects is an added advantage.
- Proficiency in Computer applications
- Fulfil the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong writing and editing skills with attention to detail.
- Good knowledge of social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter/X, LinkedIn, Instagram) and analytics tools.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and design or publishing tools (e.g., Canva, Mailchimp, or similar).
