ROLE SUMMARY
The CTIO will lead the Group’s technology and digital strategy, ensuring scalable, secure, and efficient systems that support growth and operational excellence. As a member of the Executive Team, the CTIO will align technology initiatives with strategic priorities and enhance employee, customer, and partner experiences.
- KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Technology Strategy: Develop and execute scalable tech roadmaps, drive digitization, ensure compliance, and lead infrastructure audits.
- Network Oversight: Manage core/access network expansion, IT operations, NOC, bandwidth allocation, and incident/change management.
- Cybersecurity & Risk: Establish cybersecurity protocols, ensure data protection compliance, and manage IT risk.
- Digital Innovation: Collaborate cross-functionally to enhance customer tech experiences via apps, self-service tools, and real-time support.
- Al & Data Strategy: Lead Al and predictive analytics initiatives, establish data governance, and drive innovation through an Al Lab.
- Leadership: Build high-performing tech teams, foster collaboration across departments, and advise the CEO on tech trends.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 15+ years in tech leadership, 5+ at executive/regional level.
- Experience in telecoms, ISPs, or tech-driven environments.
- Expertise in network infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, and enterprise systems.
- Strong strategic, commercial, and leadership skills.
- Familiarity with East and Central Africa is a plus.
