Christ Is the Answer Ministries [CITAM] is an English-speaking Pentecostal church committed to a holistic Gospel that impacts society in every sphere of life. Currently, CITAM has 31 assemblies in Kenya and 4 outside Kenya and provides quality education through 12 CITAM Schools and PAC University. The Ministry runs a Farm, CITAM Kadolta Resort, Catering Units,CITAM Outfitters, CITAM Kijito Fresh, CITAM Events CITAM Children’s Center, Mission Stations in Northern Kenya, provides value-based media services through Hope FM, Hope Recording Studios, Hope Creatives & Digital, Hope TV, and CITAM Church Online among other social media platforms.
JOB SUMMARY
CITAM seeks to recruit a born-again Christian who is experienced and self-motivated to fill the position of a Waiter / Waitress, whose responsibility will be to provide excellent customer service to customers
The position reports to the Catering Supervisor.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Confirm that the dishes and kitchenware to be used for service are clean and presentable.
- Ensure that the dining tables are clean, properly arranged and set up with clean linen, cutlery, and glasses.
- Provide excellent customer service to the customers.
- Handle customer queries, conduct evaluation of customer satisfaction levels and escalate any major concerns.
- Ensure that customers are billed on time and that all bills are settled as per the set guidelines.
- Ensure high hygiene standards are observed during food service.
- Ensure food and beverages are replenished as necessary.
- Ensure used cutlery and all used equipment are taken care of.
- Practical knowledge of ISO standards or any other standards for hospitality institutions.
- Maintain a proper record keeping system for easy retrieval.
Requirements
- Must be a born-again, mature Christian who conforms to the CITAM statement of faith.
- Diploma in Food Production and Service or a related course from a reputable institution. A degree in a relevant field will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 3 Years’ experience in a busy set up.
- IT competence with a bias in hotel related Systems.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
