Enterprise Architecture Governance Analyst
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand the Bank’s business and technology landscape to evaluate their contribution to strategic success, ensuring correct prioritization and focus of architectural effort.
- Identify and curate technical debt across domains, assess its impact, and develop practical solutions and opportunities to progressively reduce it in line with the Bank’s transformation agenda.
- Strengthen Enterprise Architecture governance by supporting the Architecture Review Board (ARB), ensuring timely submissions, accurate documentation of ARB decisions.
- Develop and maintain reference architectures across business, data, application, and technology domains, aligning with the Bank’s strategic vision, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Track and monitor architectural initiatives and roadmaps, verifying remediation of identified gaps, escalating risks, and ensuring alignment with agreed transition paths.
- Track the design and sequencing of transition architectures that progressively actualize the reference architecture target state, balancing immediate business needs with long-term strategic goals.
- Maintain and continuously enrich the EA repository, covering architecture standards, guidelines, blueprints, compliance metrics, and other reusable assets to entrench best practice.
- Ensure Propper tracking of the projects, initiatives put in place to remediate the compliance deficits and agreed roadmap, periodically conducting confirmation/verification checks, and reviewing escalations.
- Progressively assess applications and platforms for fit-for-purpose using industry frameworks such as the TIME model and recommend technology interventions to address identified gaps.
- Contribute to the adoption of emerging technologies and practices that strengthen EA maturity, enhance customer experience, and drive operational excellence and business growth.
The Ideal Candidate: Academic, Professional & Experience:
For the above position, the successful applicant should have the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or a related technical field of study.
- Master’s degree in technology / business will be an added advantage
- Professional Qualifications i.e TOGAF or Other Architecture Related Certifications, CBAP, Prince II or related project management certifications
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, Cloud Solutions Architect (AWS or Azure or GCP)
- 8+years progressive experience in Information Technology / Engineering is required
- 4 years’ experience in Enterprise Architecture, Software development or related area of specialization is essential.
- 4 years of expertise in any architecture domain such as application / solutions, data, business, technology – security and infrastructure architecture is essential.
In addition, the preferred candidate should demonstrate at least 3 years of proven experience in each of the following competencies:
- Experience with hybrid cloud architectures and migrations from on-premises to the cloud
- In-depth knowledge of Enterprise Architecture frameworks, methodologies, and best practices
- Strong expertise in solution architecture, including experience with cloud technologies, data architecture, application architecture, and integration patterns.
- Excellent understanding of software delivery processes, and methodologies (i.e. waterfall, agile, hybrid) & DevOps.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills with ability to breakdown complex items to actionable elements.
- Knowledge of all components of holistic enterprise architecture
- Familiarity with graphical modeling approaches, tools and model repositories.
- Ability to balance the long-term (“big picture”) and short-term implications on individual components and projects.
- Ability to liaise with all levels of management and subject matter experts across the industry and within the organization to drive adoption of Enterprise Architecture.
