Job Summary
To provide operational and technical support within the Motor Assessment section of the Claims Department. This involves delivering accurate, fair, and efficient technical expertise during motor claims assessments to maintain customer confidence while strictly safeguarding the financial interests of the company.
Job Description
- Inspect and assess vehicle damages accurately.
- Evaluate, validate, and control overall vehicle repair costs.
- Prepare assessment reports and recommend fair settlements aligned with policy guidelines.
- Partner and negotiate with garages to ensure competitive and reasonable repair pricing.
- Review external assessors’ work and reports to manage and mitigate repair expenses.
- Maintain compliance with internal company policies as well as industry and regulatory standards.
- Recommend workflow and process enhancements within the motor assessment section.
- Detect and mitigate potential fraudulent activities or misrepresentations.
- Manage technical disputes and conduct post-repair inspections to guarantee quality of work.
- Meet established service level agreements (SLAs) and timelines for claims processing.
- Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge of emerging automotive and motor insurance trends.
Education and Experience Required
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Automotive or Mechanical Engineering (or a closely related field).
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience gained within an insurance company, a busy automotive repair workshop, or a reputable motor assessment firm.

- Further Education and Training Certificate (FETC): Business, Commerce and Management Studies (Required)
