Job Purpose
The Infrastructure Manager owns the company’s corporate IT backbone — network, servers, cloud, endpoints, and collaboration environments — ensuring every employee and system has secure, reliable, and well-supported access to technology. The role leads the IT infrastructure support team, helpdesk administration, and systems interns to keep operations running smoothly day to day.
Job Description
Infrastructure & Corporate IT
- Manage network, server, and cloud infrastructure to meet enterprise uptime and performance targets.
- Own endpoint management, identity & access provisioning, and collaboration suite administration.
- Plan capacity, patching, and lifecycle refresh for hardware and infrastructure software.
Secure Digital Workspace
- Implement endpoint protection, access governance, and device compliance in line with company security policy.
- Enforce data lifecycle and retention controls on infrastructure under its remit.
Service Desk & Support Operations
- Lead the helpdesk and infrastructure support team to resolve incidents and requests within agreed SLAs.
- Own escalation paths for P1/P2 incidents and drive root-cause analysis to reduce recurrence.
- Mentor and develop systems interns as part of the team’s talent pipeline.
Vendor & Cost Management
- Manage infrastructure vendor contracts, licensing, and renewals to optimize total cost of ownership.
- Support the CIO’s IT service management function with accurate asset and configuration records.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 3-5+ years managing IT infrastructure, network, or corporate IT operations, including prior team-lead experience.
Key Competencies
- Strong knowledge of networking, cloud platforms, endpoint management, and identity & access management.
- Experience running a helpdesk/service desk function against SLAs.
- Vendor and contract management experience.
- Strong leadership and team development capability.
- Clear communication with both technical staff and business stakeholders.
- Calm, structured decision-making under incident pressure.
