The Nairobi City County Public Service Board (Nairobi CPSB) is an independent statutory body established under Article 235 of the Constitution of Kenya and the County Governments Act, 2012. The Board is responsible for providing strategic human resource management and oversight for the Nairobi City County Government, ensuring that the county public service is professional, efficient, accountable, and responsive to the needs of Nairobi residents.
The Board is mandated to recruit, appoint, confirm, promote, discipline, and develop county public officers while advising the County Government on human resource policies, organizational structures, performance management, and capacity building. Nairobi CPSB also promotes the values and principles of public service, equal employment opportunities, transparency, integrity, and merit-based recruitment in accordance with the Constitution of Kenya and relevant public service laws.
The Nairobi City County Public Service Board regularly recruits professionals across diverse departments including health services, engineering, finance, procurement, ICT, education, legal services, administration, urban planning, environment, social services, public health, disaster management, enforcement, communications, customer service, and county administration. The Board also provides internship, graduate, and attachment opportunities, enabling young professionals to gain valuable experience in Kenya’s largest county government.
