Job Description

The Nairobi Securities Exchange Plc (NSE) is a company licensed by the Capital Markets Authority to facilitate the trading of financial products through the provision of a trading platform for listed securities. In line with this mandate, the NSE is seeking to recruit a suitably qualified individual to fill the following position of Accountant on an eight (8) months’ contract:

Overall Purpose

The selected candidate will provide support to the Finance Department.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Income – Raising invoices for all clients, posting to the ledger, posting all bank receipts, and following up on all collections
• Treasury Management – Managing funds to ensure any excess funds are invested, preparing the investment memo, taking instructions to bank for placement, tracking deposits for maturity and reinvestments
• Preparing monthly reconciliations – for income, bank, investments
• Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Minimum Qualifications and Desired Skills

• CPA (K)
• 2-3yrs experience as an Accountant dealing with accounts receivable cycle, debtors follow up, monthly ledger reconciliations andinvestments
