Job Description
Job Purpose
The Sales Manager will be responsible for driving top-line revenue growth and expanding market share across the resort’s key revenue-generating departments, including Rooms, Food & Beverage, MICE, and Spa. The role will focus on building strong client relationships, developing new business opportunities, and securing high-yield accounts across local and international markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify local business trends, market shifts, and competitor activities within assigned territories and market segments.
- Attend networking events, business mixers, tourism expos, and industry events to generate new business leads.
- Actively promote the resort’s products and services to corporate clients, travel agencies, event planners, and leisure markets.
- Conduct enthusiastic and highly professional property tours for prospective clients, corporate partners, and event planners.
- Ensure client collateral, rate sheets, promotional materials, and sales information are accurate and up to date.
- Assist clients with customized itineraries, menu selections, event requirements, and spa group packages.
- Develop, maintain, and grow a comprehensive portfolio of corporate, MICE, leisure, and other high-value accounts.
- Negotiate contracts and close commercial agreements in line with approved business terms.
- Develop and implement structured account plans to maximize client retention, revenue growth, and upselling opportunities.
- Conduct regular outbound sales calls, client visits, presentations, and face-to-face meetings with corporate and leisure clients.
- Secure repeat business from event organizers, wedding planners, social groups, travel agencies, and other key accounts.
- Close sales using approved seasonal promotions, corporate rates, and tactical discounting structures.
- Follow up on advance deposits and ensure timely settlement of outstanding event and accommodation invoices.
- Incorporate eco-friendly and responsible tourism concepts into corporate and client proposals.
- Support the resort’s sustainability, environmental, and community-based initiatives.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of daily sales activities, customer interactions, client meetings, leads, and follow-ups in the resort’s sales tracking systems.
Minimum Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management, Sales & Marketing, Business Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ direct sales experience, preferably within a 4-star or 5-star hotel, resort, luxury travel agency, or a similar hospitality environment.
