Job Description

Jhub SEZ Limited is seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Digital Engineering to provide leadership across software engineering and development, RPA and automation, core platform engineering, and technical support.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the Digital Engineering strategy in alignment with business, technology and transformation objectives.
• Provide strategic direction for engineering and technology capabilities, ensuring they operate as an integrated function.
• Lead the design, development, enhancement and support of scalable, secure and reliable digital products, platforms and solutions.
• Define technology and engineering roadmaps for digital products and platforms.
• Drive the adoption of emerging technologies, automation and modern engineering practices.
• Establish engineering standards, architecture principles, development practices and quality controls.
• Oversee the full lifecycle of digital solutions from development and deployment through enhancement, support and retirement.
• Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes, system performance, scalability and operational resilience.
• Identify and develop opportunities to commercialise digital products, platforms, engineering capabilities and technology-enabled services.
• Contribute to product pricing, business cases, investment decisions and commercial models.
• Monitor revenue, costs, budgets and profitability across the Digital Engineering portfolio.
• Ensure compliance with technology, cybersecurity, data protection, regulatory and organisational requirements.
• Manage technology risks, vulnerabilities, technical debt and system dependencies.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, innovation, continuous learning and engineering excellence.
• Provide overall leadership, coaching, mentoring and talent development across the Digital Engineering function.
• Represent Digital Engineering in senior management and strategic forums.

Academic & Professional Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years’ experience in software engineering, digital technology, technology transformation or a related field, including leadership experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or a related technical field.
• A Master’s degree in Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration or a related field is an added advantage.
• Relevant professional certifications in technology, software engineering, cloud computing, DevOps, project management or related areas are an added advantage.
• Proven experience leading engineering and technology capabilities, developing and executing technology strategies, and scaling digital products, platforms or solutions.
• Experience managing complex technology environments, budgets, vendors and strategic partnerships, with exposure to technology-enabled commercial initiatives and senior stakeholder engagement.
