Job Description

Purpose

Ensure inventory optimization through review and analysis of data and provision of solutions / proposals that guide agreement / contract decisions and establish supplier performance indicators by applying industry proven metrics for measuring & improvement of supplier performance to drive business operations.

Responsibilities

  • Drive contracts negotiation by analyzing and reviewing the requisite materials data.
  • Operationalize existing contracts and agreements.
  • Monitor and control contracts performance – CSP, PBH’s, GTA’s,Adhocs.
  • Generating management reports regularly or as required.
  • Review and management of materials cost.

Qualifications

  • University degree in Engineering/Supply Chain Management.
  • Strong IT systems knowledge and skills including advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience of working in a material cost control role and supervising the smooth supply of materials in line with maintenance requirements and budget, ideally within aviation or manufacturing.
  • Experience in contract management.
  • Knowledge of inventory management.
  • Advanced understanding of materials management data and systems.
  • Knowledge of aircraft components/parts.
  • Ability to read, understand & interpret approved maintenance documentation e.g.; IPC, RSPL, AMM, SBs etc · Knowledge of lean techniques.
  • Knowledge of aircraft parts airworthiness certification (EASA, FAA) KCAA and customs regulations relevant to aircraft parts desirable good understanding of IATA resolutions and industry rules.
  • Membership of an appropriate professional body will be an added advantage.
  • 5 years working knowledge and experience preferably from aircraft maintenance or in a technical field.
