Temporary Grants and Sub-Award Manager at Population Services Kenya

Job Description

PS Kenya is seeking a Grants and Sub-Award Manager to support the Finance Department in managing financial processes, compliance, budgeting, reporting, and sub-awards to local NGOs and CBOs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and monitor sub-award budgets, financial reports, payments, and close-outs.
• Support financial due diligence, budget reviews, negotiations, and compliance monitoring.
• Review subrecipient financial reports and invoices for accuracy and compliance.
• Provide financial management, budgeting, grants management, and internal controls support to subrecipients.
• Conduct financial monitoring and follow up on compliance issues and corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate sub-award financial records and documentation.
• Support budget realignments, donor reporting, advances, payments, and project close-outs.
• Provide training and technical support to sub-grantees.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
• CPA/ACCA qualification.
• Master’s degree is an added advantage.
• At least 6 years’ experience in accounting, grants management, financial management, or a related field.
• Experience with NGOs, CBOs, donor-funded programs, or subrecipients is an added advantage.
• Strong financial management, analytical, communication, planning, and compliance skills.
