Head of Cybersecurity and I.S Operations at Jambojet

Job Description

Jambojet is seeking to recruit a Head of Cybersecurity and I.S Operations to lead cybersecurity, IT operations, technology resilience and risk management while supporting the airline’s technology strategy and digital transformation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute cybersecurity and IS operations strategies aligned with business priorities.
• Oversee infrastructure, networks, cloud, business applications, airline systems and integrations supporting 24/7 operations.
• Lead cybersecurity, technology risk, security operations, identity and access management, vulnerability management and threat monitoring.
• Ensure compliance with IOSA, ISO 27001, PCI DSS and the Kenya Data Protection Act.
• Lead major technology and cybersecurity incident response, disaster recovery and business continuity.
• Manage technology budgets, projects, vendors and strategic technology partnerships.
• Support the use of cloud, AI, automation, data and emerging technologies to improve business performance.
• Build high-performing technology teams and provide leadership support to the Director Information Systems.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, Information Systems or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years’ progressive experience in IT operations, cybersecurity, information security, IT risk or technology governance.
• At least 5 years in a senior leadership role managing multidisciplinary teams, budgets and vendors.
• Demonstrated experience leading both technology operations and cybersecurity.
• Experience in aviation, financial services or another highly regulated, 24/7 environment is highly preferred.
• At least one senior certification such as CISSP, CISM, CISA or CRISC.
• ITIL 4, COBIT, ISO 27001, PMP/PRINCE2, PCI DSS credentials or an executive leadership programme are an added advantage.
