Job Summary

The Construction Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating and overseeing construction projects to ensure timely, cost-effective and quality delivery. The role ensures compliance with safety and regulatory standards while managing project teams and stakeholders. The position drives successful execution of multiple projects from initiation to completion.

Key Responsibilities 

Project Planning & Scheduling

  • Develop detailed project plans with timelines, deliverables, and milestones.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to produce realistic construction schedules.

Budget & Cost Management

  • Prepare and manage project budgets to ensure efficient cost control.
  • Negotiate pricing and contracts with suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors.

Team Leadership

  • Lead and supervise on-site teams to ensure alignment with project requirements.
  • Provide direction to site supervisors, contractors, and workers.

Risk & Safety Management

  • Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Enforce safety standards; conduct routine safety inspections and audits.

Quality Assurance

  • Maintain quality standards across all phases of construction.
  • Review blueprints, architectural drawings, and specifications for accuracy and feasibility.

Stakeholder Communication

  • Serve as the primary contact for clients, providing regular updates on project progress.
  • Facilitate communication between project stakeholders: clients, architects, engineers, contractors.

Permits & Regulations

  • Ensure all required permits, certifications, and inspections are obtained and updated.
  • Comply with local building codes, zoning laws, and construction regulations.

Problem Solving

  • Address challenges such as delays, design changes, and site conditions promptly to minimize disruption.

Project Closeout

  • Oversee completion of punch lists and final inspections.
  • Prepare final project reports, including lessons learned and improvement areas.

Technical Skills & Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or any related field.
  • Software Proficiency: Expert use of project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore, or relevant ERP systems).
  • Project Controls: Strong mastery of construction scheduling, resource leveling, and industry-standard workflows.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of building codes, construction law, and safety compliance (OSHA/local regulations).
  • Work Experience: 5+ years of experience delivering projects on time and within budget through meticulous site management.

Soft Skills & Leadership:

  • Personnel Management: Proven ability to lead large teams of contractors and subcontractors effectively.
  • Strategic Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills for high-level stakeholder engagement and reporting.
  • Operational Resilience: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple sites simultaneously while working under high-pressure deadlines.
  • Proactive Problem-Solving: Analytical mindset with a track record of resolving complex on-site issues efficiently.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple sites.

Working Conditions:
