Job Description

ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer, the Perioperative Nurse will provide specialized nursing care to patients undergoing surgical and invasive procedures, ensuring safe, effective and evidence-based care throughout the preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative phases. The role also supports patient safety, infection prevention, surgical asepsis and efficient theatre operations.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS

  • Diploma in Kenya Registered Community Health Nursing or Kenya Registered Nursing. 
  • Higher Diploma in Perioperative Nursing. (Mandatory)
  • Registered with the Nursing Council of Kenya with a valid Practicing License.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a busy Operating Room.
  • Experience providing direct nursing care in surgical cases within the last 1 Year required.
  • Valid ACLS and BLS certificates.
