Job Description

The role:

The in charge is responsible for managing the store and inventory of BBROOD. This includes receiving and issuing raw materials at different levels, procuring stock, managing stock levels and minimizing/preventing wastage. The job purpose is to ensure that the day-to-day operations of the store are carried out in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner.

Duties & responsibilities

  • Manage stock levels to avoid shortages and overstocking. 
  • Receive items from suppliers and check quality
  • Issue items to the bakery and stores
  • Monitor day to day usage & expenditures to eliminate wastage 
  • Source and maintain two suppliers per raw material item. 
  • Source quotations from suppliers and share comparison report with management
  • Suggest improvements to increase accuracy, efficiency, and cost reductions 
  • Conduct weekly and monthly stock take and share the report with Management.
  • Adhere to food safety policy, FIFO, proper labelling including expiry dates 
  • Ensure the store is clean and organized at all times.
  • Perform any other duty as allocated by your supervisor.

Requirements: 

  • Diploma in supply chain management or other relevant qualification from a recognised institution.
  • At least 3 years’ experience hospitality industry 
  • Skills required: Computer skills, listening, communication, organisational, team player.
  • You are known for your high attention to detail, good customer service skills, successful negotiation with suppliers, and ability to manage time and prioritise.
