Job Description
About the Role
Kenchic PLC is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Quality Controller to join its Quality Assurance Department. The role involves conducting quality checks and inspecting ingredients, raw materials, packaging materials, in-process products, and finished products to ensure compliance with established food safety and quality standards while promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor food safety and quality requirements across receiving, production, storage, and dispatch operations.
- Conduct real-time quality checks, sampling, laboratory testing, and sensory evaluations.
- Maintain accurate documentation, ensure product traceability, and report product quality issues and process deviations promptly.
- Investigate product nonconformities and customer complaints, support root cause analysis, and implement timely corrective actions.
- Participate in new product development, including testing, reporting, and specification development.
- Conduct internal audits, monitor Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and hygiene compliance, and ensure sanitation schedules are followed.
- Manage quality assurance programs and records while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Provide quality and food safety training to staff to promote a sustainable quality culture.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Diploma in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, Biology, or a related discipline. A bachelor’s degree is an added advantage.
- 1–2 years of relevant experience in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) or food manufacturing industry.
- Sound knowledge of FSSC 22000, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and Quality Management Systems (QMS).
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team.
