Allan Muriithi Njagi
About Candidate
Recent Electrical and Electronic Engineering graduate (BSc, JKUAT) with hands-on experience across power systems, embedded systems, and renewable energy. My final year project involved designing a solar-powered, camera-guided bird detection and deterrence system for an irrigation scheme, combining computer vision, IoT hardware, and solar system design (PVsyst). I’ve completed industrial attachments at Kenya Railways Workshop, Oyster Electrical, and Devki Steel Mills, giving me practical exposure to industrial electrical systems, control panels, and maintenance operations.
I’m passionate about renewable energy — particularly solar — as well as embedded systems and electric mobility, and I’m looking to build a career applying engineering skills to Kenya’s clean energy transition. I bring strong problem-solving skills, a self-driven approach to learning new tools, and a track record of delivering complete technical projects from concept to working prototype.

Work & Experience
Installed and tested lighting systems (one-way, two-way, multi-way switches), set up radial/ring socket circuits and cooker circuits, troubleshot electrical faults, and performed cable pulling, conduit bending, and residential panel setup. Followed LOTO and PPE procedures per KS IEC 60364 standards.
Maintained and repaired diesel engine electrical and mechanical systems on trains. Troubleshot faults in control, ignition, and power generation systems; worked with sensors, relays, and wiring harnesses.
Installed motor starters, repaired and rewound AC/DC motors, worked with PLCs and industrial control systems, and maintained transformers, generators, and industrial lighting.
