International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI)

The International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) is a world-leading international research organization and a member of the CGIAR global research partnership. Established in 1994, ILRI works to improve food security, reduce poverty, and promote sustainable livestock systems through cutting-edge scientific research and innovation. Headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya, and co-hosted by the governments of Kenya and Ethiopia, ILRI operates across Africa and Asia with research programs focused on animal health, genetics, livestock production, climate resilience, food systems, One Health, and sustainable agricultural development.
