Job Description

Mwananchi Credit is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Collections Officer – Mobile Money to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals with experience in debt collection, credit control, or call center collections who are looking to advance their careers in the financial services sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain assigned customer portfolios.
  • Negotiate loan repayments with customers.
  • Achieve collection targets and support campaign initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide timely loan repayment updates and reports.
  • Maintain accurate records with strong numerical accuracy and record-keeping discipline.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Credit Management, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in auto-dialer systems, CRM/loan management software, and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.

Experience

  • At least 1–2 years of experience in:
    • Debt collection
    • Credit control
    • Call center collections
  • Experience in banking, microfinance, or mobile lending will be an added advantage.
