Looking to advance your career in the aviation industry? Jambojet is seeking an experienced Materials and Logistics Manager to oversee aircraft materials, spare parts, and logistics operations, ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable support of the airline’s maintenance activities.

To be considered for this role, applicants should meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Purchasing and Supply Chain Management or a related field from a recognized university.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a dynamic airline materials and logistics environment.
  • Relevant industry certifications (professional body membership is an added advantage).
  • Strong knowledge of airline maintenance materials, procurement, inventory management, and aviation logistics.
  • Experience working with aviation regulatory requirements, including KCAA/EASA standards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, supplier management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in industry-relevant logistics and inventory management systems.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Develop and execute procurement strategies for aircraft materials, spare parts, and consumables.
  • Ensure timely availability of approved aircraft materials while maintaining the highest safety standards.
  • Manage inventory forecasting, stock optimization, and reordering processes.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships while negotiating favorable commercial terms.
  • Ensure compliance with KCAA, EASA, aviation regulations, and Jambojet maintenance procedures.
  • Optimize warehousing, storage, retrieval, and distribution of aircraft materials.
  • Coordinate transportation logistics and customs clearance for imported and exported aircraft components.
  • Prepare and manage materials and logistics budgets to support operational requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with maintenance, engineering, procurement, and other operational teams.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Materials and Logistics team to achieve departmental objectives.
