Valley Hospital is a leading Level 4 hospital in Nakuru City offering both inpatient and outpatient services. We are seeking to recruit a Medical Officer In-Charge to lead our Doctors Unit within the Clinical Services Department. 

This role is essential in providing clinical leadership and ensuring delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care. The position oversees medical officers, enforces healthcare standards, and supports compliance with regulatory and institutional policies. 

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications 

• Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB).
• Minimum 5 years’ post-internship experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role
• Registration and valid practising licence from the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC).

Key Competencies 

• Proficiency in general medical practice with ability to manage a wide range of conditions. 
• Strong leadership and team management skills with proven mentorship experience. 
• Knowledge of healthcare delivery systems, clinical governance, and hospital operations. 
• Capacity to manage emergencies and coordinate multidisciplinary care. 
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and decision-making skills. 
• Competence in using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and hospital information systems. 
• High ethical standards, integrity, and patient-centred approach.
