Job Purpose
The Projects Manager drives delivery of the CIO’s digital transformation roadmap coordinating enterprise system implementations, upgrades, and cross-functional technology initiatives from initiation through go-live. The role leads project coordinators, project support staff, and systems tech interns.
Job Description
Project & Program Delivery
- Manage the IT project portfolio, including planning, resourcing, budgeting, and risk management for each initiative.
- Coordinate delivery of enterprise system projects (e.g., ERP, CRM, HRIS, MES, e-commerce, fleet) in partnership with business and vendor stakeholders.
- Track milestones, dependencies, and benefits realization against the CIO’s digital roadmap.
Change Management & Adoption
- Drive structured change management — communications, training, and support — to secure user adoption post go-live.
- Coordinate go-live and hypercare support with the project coordinators and systems tech support team.
Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination
- Coordinate implementation partners and vendors to keep projects aligned to scope, schedule, and cost.
- Provide regular project status, risk, and benefits reporting to the CIO and steering committees.
Team Leadership
- Lead project coordinators/support staff and systems tech support interns across concurrent projects.
- Build project management capability and disciplined delivery practices across the team.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business, or related field.
- 3-5+ years managing IT or digital transformation projects, ideally with enterprise system implementations (ERP/CRM/MES/eCommerce).
Key Competencies
- Strong planning, budgeting, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience leading change management for technology rollouts.
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum) preferred.
- Excellent stakeholder management across business and technical teams.
- Strong organizational discipline across multiple concurrent projects.
- Persuasive communication to drive adoption and manage change resistance.
