Job Description

The Public Service Commission (PSC) has announced recruitment for Interns under the Public Service Internship Programme (PSIP) Cohort 9 for the 2026/2027 Financial Year. The programme provides graduates with an opportunity to gain practical work experience in Government Ministries, Departments, State Agencies/Corporations, and Public Universities.

Programme Objective

The Public Service Internship Programme (PSIP) is a Government youth empowerment initiative designed to provide college graduates with practical work experience, develop professional skills, and enhance opportunities for employment, networking, and entrepreneurship.

Requirements for Appointment

To qualify for the internship, applicants must:

  • Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
  • Have graduated not earlier than the year 2020.
  • Be proficient in computer skills.
  • Have not previously benefited from a similar Government internship programme.

Internship Duties and Responsibilities

Successful interns will be expected to:

  • Perform duties assigned by their supervisors.
  • Document the skills and experience gained during deployment.
  • Participate actively in mentorship activities and other programme assignments.

Internship Duration

  • 12 Months
  • Non-renewable

Stipend

  • Successful interns will receive a Government stipend at the approved rate.

Certificate

  • Interns who successfully complete the programme will be awarded an Internship Certificate.
