Job Description

Job objective:

AAA Growers Limited is seeking to recruit a skilled, analytical and results-driven Systems Developer IT Officer to design, develop, implement and maintain secure, reliable and user-friendly software applications that support and enhance the Company’s business processes. The role will drive system integration, database optimization, application performance and continuous improvement of internal technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Application Development: Analyze business requirements, design, develop, test, implement and maintain software applications using approved programming languages and development frameworks.
  • System Integration: Develop and maintain APIs, web services and integrations between internal and third-party systems.
  • Database Management: Design, maintain and optimize databases, ensuring data integrity, security, performance and reliable backup and recovery
  • Testing & Deployment: Conduct application testing, troubleshoot defects, support software releases and maintain CI/CD processes
  • Application Support: Resolve system incidents, implement approved enhancements and ensure application reliability, security and compatibility.
  • Code Governance & Documentation: Apply coding standards, version control, secure development practices and maintain technical documentation.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with ICT teams and business users to deliver effective technology solutions and provide technical support and guidance.

Qualifications and Key Competence:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or an equivalent qualification.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years’ relevant experience in software or systems development
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, C#, JavaScript or Go.
  • Working knowledge of development frameworks such as .NET, Spring Boot, Node.js or Django.
  • Experience in database design and management, including SQL Server, PostgreSQL or MySQL.
  • Knowledge of web technologies, RESTful APIs, JSON and application architecture.
  • Experience with Git-based version control, software testing and deployment practices.
  • Knowledge of secure coding, application performance monitoring and system documentation.
  • Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes and cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS will be an added advantage.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, planning and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively while meeting project timelines.
  • Relevant professional certifications in software development, cloud technologies or Agile methodologies will be an added
