Hewatele is expanding! As a leading producer and supplier of medical oxygen and other industrial gases, we are setting up a state-of-the-art Liquid Oxygen (LOX) production facility at Tatu City. This strategic move will enhance our capacity to deliver high-quality medical gases and other industrial gases across Kenya and the region.
We are seeking to fill the following position to support operations at our new Tatu City facility:

Role Overview
The SHEQ & Quality Control Officer will ensure that Hewatele’s operations at the Tatu City LOX production site meet the highest standards of safety, health, environment, and quality. This role is critical in maintaining compliance, preventing risks, and guaranteeing product integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor SHEQ policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with ISO and regulatory standards.
- Lead incident investigations and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Oversee product quality testing and documentation.
- Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement across the site.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- At least 3 years of practical experience in SHEQ roles within manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Certification in ISO standards, Occupational Health & Safety, or Quality Management is an added advantage.
Technical Skills
- ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 implementation.
- Risk assessment and hazard analysis.
- Internal auditing and compliance reporting.
- Root cause analysis (RCA) techniques.
- Quality control testing and documentation.
- Regulatory knowledge (NEMA, OSHA, KEBS).
- Implementation of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
