Human Resource Officer
Kilimall is seeking a qualified and experienced Human Resource Officer to join its team in Nairobi. The successful candidate will support end-to-end HR operations, recruitment, employee relations, compliance, performance management, and staff development initiatives.
Location: Nairobi, Mombasa Road
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support end-to-end recruitment processes, including sourcing, screening, interview coordination, onboarding, and probation follow-up.
- Maintain accurate employee records, HR documentation, and contracts while ensuring compliance with Kenyan labor laws and company policies.
- Support performance management processes, employee engagement initiatives, attendance management, and workplace culture programs.
- Handle employee relations matters, including disciplinary processes, grievances, conflict resolution, and policy interpretation.
- Coordinate staff training, onboarding programs, and HR development initiatives aimed at improving employee productivity and retention.
- Monitor statutory compliance, leave management, workplace health and safety requirements, and HR operational reporting.
- Support HR process improvement initiatives and contribute to building efficient and scalable HR systems.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3–4 years of progressive HR experience in a structured work environment.
- Strong understanding of Kenyan labor laws and HR best practices.
- Experience handling recruitment, employee relations, and HR operations independently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR systems.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with high attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and integrity.
- Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
