About the Role

Operate and maintain the boiler systems that provide steam and hot water required for processing 

Responsibilities

Boiler operation

  • Monitor boiler systems to ensure efficient and safe operation.
  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance on boiler systems.
  • Diagnose and repair boiler system issues.
  • Conduct safety tests and system checks to ensure reliability.
  • Maintain accurate records of boiler operations, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Manage fuel inventory and other consumables necessary for boiler operation.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operation of the boiler system.

Food safety implementation

  • Follow all Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) requirements in the shift.

Process improvement

  • Propose the best ways to reduce energy consumption in the boiler.

Qualifications

Across all roles, these are the general qualifications we look for. For this role specifically, you will have:

  • Minimum academic Qualification: a certificate in boiler operation or Mechanical or electrical engineering will be needed.
  • Work Experience: 2+ years of working experience operating boilers
  • NITA Certification
