Key Responsibilities:
- Drive revenue growth and expand the active merchant portfolio in the hospitality sector
- Lead merchant acquisition, onboarding, and optimization across acquiring platforms and payment gateways
- Mobilize deposits from hospitality merchants to support business growth
- Deliver exceptional merchant service, training, and relationship management
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with hotels, restaurants, and travel & tourism businesses
- Uphold high service standards and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure operational excellence and seamless service delivery
- Drive team capability development and performance improvement
- Execute strategic business initiatives, projects, and marketing campaigns
- Proactively manage merchant risk, compliance, and sector exposures
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university
- Professional qualifications in Banking or Management (Advantageous)
- Master’s degree in business administration (MBA) (Added Advantage)
Experience & Expertise:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in banking
- At least 1 year in retail banking or merchant acquiring environments
- Demonstrated experience in:
- Sales, marketing, and relationship management (2+ years)
- Banking operations and IT/systems exposure (2+ years – banking experience required)
- Card operations and payment schemes (Visa, MasterCard, UPI, Kenswitch) (4+ years)
Prior experience within the hospitality sector (hotels, restaurants, travel & tours) is a strong advantage
