Irene Kirung’e

I am a Communications and multimedia professional with over five years of experience in
strategic communication, research, documentation, multimedia storytelling, training and
community engagement across development, faith-based, community and creative settings. My
work has included supporting peacebuilding and dialogue initiatives, documenting programmes
and trainings, developing research-based communication materials, engaging young people and
communities, and translating complex programme work into accessible, people-centred
communication.

I am also a Certified Professional Mediator with training in professional mediation and conflict
resolution. This has strengthened my understanding of dialogue, active listening, conflict
transformation and conflict-sensitive engagement. I am particularly interested in contributing to
initiatives that promote peace, reconciliation, social cohesion, restorative justice and meaningful
participation in processes that affect communities.
