Job Purpose

The CCTV Control Room Assistant will support the smooth operation of the control room by managing surveillance systems and aiding in the overall security and risk management of the organization. The role encompasses real-time monitoring, incident reporting, and ensuring compliance with Standard Operating Procedures across all monitored locations. As a vital part of the security team, the assistant will contribute to safety, operational continuity, and compliance with company policies, ensuring a secure working environment.

This role is ideal for a proactive, hands-on, detail-oriented, and self-driven individual with a strong sense of responsibility and integrity.

Key Responsibilities

• Remotely monitor the process of goods dispatch and receiving both at the warehouse and store levels, ensuring compliance with inventory handling protocols and reducing the risk of loss or theft
• Diligently document all incidents, accidents, security breaches, or unusual occurrences observed through CCTV, ensuring that all details are accurately captured, including the time, date, location, and individuals involved.
• Provide real-time updates during security incidents to assist management and response teams in making informed decisions.
• Provide timely analysis of footage and other evidential materials to facilitate investigations
• Carry out weekly risk assessments to selected stores in the predetermined format. Liaise with the concerned stores to ensure they understand the survey, and provide accurate information.
• Share weekly reports on repairs and other equipment needed to ensure optimal operation of Control room.
• Provide concise yet comprehensive written reports on daily control room activities, incidents, and any actions taken.
• Schedule preventive maintenance on Control room equipment on a rotating basis.
• Ensure availability of maintenance records for IT team and other teams’ inspection, along with details of work carried out
• Carry out a review of equipment supporting security and control room operations for efficiency, maintain records and escalate any observations

Key Skills

• Attention to Detail: Ability to monitor multiple camera feeds simultaneously and notice any subtle changes or suspicious activity that may indicate a security breach.
• Technical Proficiency: Sufficient understanding of how surveillance equipment functions, including the ability to troubleshoot minor issues and ensure optimal equipment performance.
•  Incident Reporting and Documentation: Ability to clearly document incidents and produce accurate, reliable and detailed reports.
•  Risk Awareness: Basic understanding of security risks, safety protocols, and operational vulnerabilities.
•  Adaptability Under Pressure: Capable of making sound decisions in fast-paced, high-pressure situations, particularly during incidents that require immediate action.
•  Integrity and Confidentiality: High level of integrity and confidentiality, as the role involves handling sensitive information and ensuring the security of confidential data.
• Team Collaboration: Strong team player who can work well with others and offer support to colleagues and management as needed.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline.
• One year of work experience, preferably in a CCTV control room environment.
