Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Manager
Role Purpose
The CSR Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the Bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy and community engagement initiatives in alignment with the Bank’s brand values, business objectives, and sustainability goals.
The role will also support Public Relations activities, stakeholder engagement, media relations, and represent the Bank at community, customer, industry, and corporate events. The ideal candidate should possess strong communication, relationship management, and public speaking skills with the ability to confidently represent the Bank both internally and externally.
Key responsibilities:
CSR Strategy & Implementation
- Develop and execute the Bank’s CSR and sustainability strategy aligned with organizational objectives.
- Identify impactful CSR initiatives focusing on education, financial literacy, environmental sustainability, community development, health, and youth empowerment.
- Manage CSR budgets, timelines, partnerships, and project implementation.
- Monitor and evaluate CSR program effectiveness and prepare impact assessment reports.
- Ensure all CSR initiatives align with the Bank’s brand positioning and corporate values.
- Build long-term partnerships with NGOs, schools, community groups, and strategic stakeholders.
- Coordinate media engagement related to CSR activities and community programs.
- Draft press releases, speeches, talking points, event briefs, and communication materials (CSR related).
- Assist in managing external stakeholder relationships(CSR Partners) and corporate visibility initiatives.
Event Management & Community Engagement
- Plan and execute CSR events, sponsorship, customer forums, charity initiatives, and community activation’s.
- Represent the Bank at public functions, networking events, panel discussions, and stakeholder engagements.
- Work closely with branch teams and internal departments to drive community engagement initiatives.
Public Speaking & Brand Representation
- Serve as a confident and professional representative of the Bank during events and public engagements.
- Deliver presentations, speeches, and CSR updates to internal and external audiences.
- Act as a spokesperson for selected CSR and community initiatives when necessary.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Corporate Affairs, Journalism, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional qualifications in CSR, Sustainability, PR, or Communications will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 5–7 years’ experience in CSR, Public Relations, Corporate Communications, Brand Management, or related fields.
- Experience within the banking, financial services, or corporate sector is preferred.
