ABC Insurance Brokerage Ltd (a subsidiary of ABC Group) is seeking to recruit dynamic, creative, self-driven and highly motivated Insurance Sales professionals for the regions: Nairobi, Eldoret, Kisumu, Meru and Nakuru.
POSITION: INSURANCE SALES OFFICER (NAIROBI, ELDORET, KISUMU, MERU & NAKURU REGIONS)
Reporting to the Business Development Manager, the job holder will be tasked with driving insurance business within the assigned region, with the overall objective of growing the insurance portfolio through increased Gross Written Premiums (GWP) and insurance commission revenue.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive growth in insurance business across and outside ABC Bank group channels- New Business and Cross Selling
- Execution of day-to-day insurance operations at the assigned Region level, which entails new business development and cross-selling of insurance products, claims administration and documentation
- Timely follow-up on renewals to ensure business retention that would otherwise lead to income leakage.
- Cross-selling other Group Products, i.e Liabilities, foreign exchanges, Account Opening, Trade Finance and Stock Trading
- Develop good working relationships with various departments in the group, working closely with Branch Managers, Relationship Managers, & Credit Analysts to generate insurance business and leads through their customers
- Ensure customer inquiries are resolved promptly as per laid-down policies and procedures
- Champion insurance product training at the regional branch level to sensitise both group staff and customers on insurance products
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and internal procedures regarding insurance sales
- Ensure all collaterals and assets that have the financiers’ interest are properly and comprehensively insured, and the financiers’ interest is properly noted
- Ensure that debt level is managed proactively and maintained minimally and in line with the credit policy, which is 40:30:30
Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, Experience & Key Competencies
- University Degree in either Insurance, Marketing or a business-related field
- Certificate of Proficiency
- 2 years’ experience in insurance sales.
