About the Role 

BURN is seeking a highly motivated Carbon Finance Intern to provide support to the Carbon Finance department. If you are looking for an opportunity to work in a dynamic, challenging environment that recognizes and rewards creativity, initiative, and contributions, then this is the job for you. 

What You’ll Gain

  • Exposure to invoice processing, payment tracking, and document management using SharePoint. 
  • First-hand experience supporting financial and tax audits. 
  • Mentorship and guidance from the Carbon Finance team. 

Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Save, organize, and file financial documents and records on SharePoint for internal and external reporting. 
  • Track payments and liaise with other departments on outstanding amounts. 
  • Identify and address discrepancies related to purchase invoices and receipts. 
  • Support administrative tasks, e.g. approving Purchase Requisition Forms (PRFs). 
  • Support the finance team during financial and tax audits by preparing and organizing supporting documents. 
  • Perform any other tasks as requested by the line manager and/or senior management. 

Skills and Experience 

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree or diploma in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, with a minimum qualification of CPA Section 4 
  • Proficiency in MS Office – Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. 
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable handling files and records. 
  • Results-oriented and able to prioritize effectively and multitask to deliver results in a fast-paced work environment. 
  • Good communication skills and a willingness to learn. 
  • Able to work independently and follow instructions accurately and consistently.
