Job Description

To manage cash transactions and collections, ensuring the accurate receipt, recording, and safeguarding of funds in line with organisational policies. The role is responsible for handling cash operations, maintaining records, and supporting financial control processes within the organisation.

KEY PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Receive and process cash, cheque, and electronic payments accurately, recording and reconciling every transaction.
  • Maintain daily cash balances and submit accurate cash reports on time.
  • Safeguard cash and financial instruments in line with internal controls and security procedures.
  • Support the reconciliation of cash transactions with financial records and help identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Assist customers and internal teams with payment-related queries, delivering efficient, polite, and respectful service.
  • Escalate complex issues to supervisors and promptly report mistakes or concerns.
  • Keep accurate and organised records, and ensure data entered into systems is correct.
  • Complete basic forms and documentation, and alert supervisors to missing information.
  • Comply strictly with company rules, procedures, and regulatory requirements, and keep information confidential.
  • Exercise good judgement when handling items, time, and materials that affect costs and resources.
  • Work cooperatively with team members, follow supervisors’ instructions, and support daily team activities.
  • Arrive on time, meet work targets, take responsibility for the quality of your work, and attend required training.
  • Maintain professional behaviour and clear communication with colleagues and supervisors at all times.

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or any business-related field.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • CPA / ACCA Intermediate Level.

EXPERIENCE

  • At least 1–3 years of relevant work experience in an administrative or clerical support role, with exposure to basic record keeping and customer service.
