Main Duties:

• Generate and provide insights for decision-making around infrastructure projects by preparing and maintaining accurate financial records and reports on all infrastructure and donor-funded projects run by Mater Misericordiae Hospital.
• Contribute to optimal project costing by coordinating with the accounts payable functions to plan for all payments for efficient liquidity management, financing costs management, budget adherence, and to prevent unnecessary project delays that would have cost implications for the Hospital.
• Directly inform the delivery of affordable care by the Hospital by actively tracking all input costs (direct and indirect) associated with inpatient and outpatient service delivery within the Hospital and generating insights on potential areas of improvement, considering observed trends.
• Drive affordability and market competitiveness of the care packages offered by the Hospital by periodically collecting and reviewing feedback from patients, caregivers, payers, and relevant Hospital staff on the structure of existing care packages to improve the offerings and remain competitive in the market.
• Be responsible for the (re)design and costing of proposed care packages in consultation with relevant stakeholders and in compliance with legal and quality standards for the Hospital.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records on all infrastructure projects.
• Track the associated cost of care and generate relevant insights.
• Conduct periodic reviews of service packages offered by the Hospital relative to the market and patient needs.
• Design proposed packages to drive responsiveness and competitiveness of the Hospital.
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets as may be required.
• Assist in the preparation of audit schedules as may be assigned.
• Perform any other related duties assigned from time to time.

Required Qualifications for the Position

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
• CPA Section IV / ACCA Part II.
• 2 years of relevant working experience.

• Good verbal and written communication skills.
