Are you an experienced banking or microfinance professional with a strong background in collections, debt recovery, and credit risk management? Mwananchi Credit is seeking an accomplished Head of Collection & Recovery to lead its recovery strategy, optimize collections performance, and drive operational excellence across the organization.

This senior leadership role is ideal for professionals with extensive experience in credit recovery, legal recovery processes, and team leadership within the financial services sector.

Key Responsibilities

As the Head of Collection & Recovery, you will be responsible for:

• Developing and implementing collection and recovery strategies.
• Providing leadership in governance and collections operations.
• Overseeing recovery processes and legal recovery initiatives.
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and fair customer treatment.
• Driving performance through data analytics, reporting, and people management.
• Leading continuous improvement initiatives to maximize portfolio recovery while minimizing credit losses.

Minimum Qualifications

To qualify for this role, applicants should possess:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Commerce, Economics, Law, or a related field.
• A Master’s degree will be an added advantage.
• Professional qualifications such as:
  • CPA (K)
  • ACCA
  • CCP
  • Credit Management Certification
• At least 10 years of experience in banking or microfinance operations.
• A minimum of 5 years in senior management within collections, recovery, or credit operations.
