Job Purpose
The Production Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring efficient and reliable production operations by translating production plans into daily execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure daily production targets are achieved within required timelines.
- Monitor and control milk intake, processing, and utilization to minimize losses.
- Supervise production of milk, and other dairy products.
- Ensure effective CIP, sterilization, hygiene, and food safety standards.
- Supervise packaging and filling machines to minimize downtime and wastage.
- Ensure proper handling and accountability of packaging materials.
- Maintain production records, waste reports, and shift reports.
- Conduct routine quality checks before product release.
- Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety requirements.
- Report machine breakdowns and operational challenges for corrective action.
- Ensure availability of production materials and supplies.
- Participate in cost-control initiatives and resource optimization.
- Provide leadership and supervision to production teams.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Food Science, Dairy Technology, Production Management, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years‘ experience in dairy, food processing or FMCG manufacturing.
- Knowledge of dairy processing operations, quality management, and food safety.
- Experience with packaging/filling machines and production equipment.
- Strong analytical, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of GMP, HACCP principles, and workplace safety standards.
- Computer proficiency; ERP experience will be an added advantage.
