Primary Purpose and Scope the Job
The Sales Data Clerk is responsible for accurately capturing, updating, and maintaining sales-related data to support reporting, analysis, and operational efficiency. The role ensures that sales records, customer information, and transaction details are properly documented, accurate, and easily retrievable.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Verify the accuracy of sales entries, invoices, and receipts
- Maintain organized sales records and databases
- Prepare routine sales reports and summaries
- Reconcile sales figures with supporting documents
- Identify and report discrepancies or missing data
- Assist the sales and accounts teams with data requests
- Ensure data confidentiality, accuracy, and integrity
- Support filing and documentation of sales paperwork
- Receive, review, and process customer orders (LPOs, emails, calls)
- Ensure timely and accurate order entry into the system
- Track pending and completed orders
- Coordinate order confirmation, pricing, and product availability
- Perform any other duties as assigned
Job specifications:
Qualifications
- Certificate or Diploma in Business, IT, Accounting, or a related field
Experience
- One year experience in data entry, sales administration, or clerical work is an added advantage
